After each workshop participants will receive a 'Resource Package' to help them continue with learning and getting the magic of play going at their classrooms/settings. This page includes further ideas and inspirations that you can also include around your classroom & settings! Enjoy :)
Tape is by far one of my favourite resources! I've used it numerous times on the floor to map out mazes, number sortings and many more! These activities are perfect for primary school classrooms.
I once made this invitation to help children explore sentence building in a bigger and more hands on way! It was really effective. We went on to use other resources around the areas of play e.g. the small world animals... I like to play with the lions.
Firstly chalk is great! Often children in my classes have mixed it with water to create their own chalk paint! The writing tools that we provide are important to support their motor-development skills. You can easily get larger painting brushes, rollars and scrubbers from the shops. These are worth their weight in gold for large mark-making and visual art creations!
Sometimes it is fun to write on a different shape right? It looks more inviting and interesting. Every now and again just cut up some pieces to add within your writing provision.
These are SO cool for pretty much most areas of play within the classroom e.g. role-play, water and sand etc. Children have a need to gather and sort. These easy to find resources help them do just this whilst enabling them to 'move their maths' too!
Loose bits of fabrics are one of my favourite resources in a play-based learning environment. Children can build on their own worlds or create their own costumes to support their role-play ideas.
